That nature of your question and how it was asked prompts me to deliver this answer:

Do what it says in the Owner's Manual (that Volvo book in the glove box): take it to a Volvo garage (who have all the right computers and tools) to diagnose and repair the problem.

There are a number of things that could cause that message. A code read would tell what it is. A simple reader like Torque app and a tenner for the interface could point you in the general direction.
Ideally get it read by something more sophisticated like VIDA, note codes, clear and see if they come back. Glitches happen but more generally a message is a portent of something coming down the line.
If I was forced to make a blind guess I would say something on the induction side and start perusing the sticky at the top.

Although it's a Euro4/185 which don't suffer as much from that issue AFAIK.
Until the OP has had the codes read (and preferably by VIDA) we can only guess!

Hadn't spotted that. Then it brings other things like the swirl arm thing into play.

Haven't a Vida/dice.

But I do have ELM317(?- not sure the number) and torque app.

If you feel brave enough to drive to sw London (Wimbledon in the afternoons, days usually in claygate, until Saturday)..

We could get some read outs.
