Default Waterless coolant

Just wondering if anyone has done a switch to waterless coolant? Any tips or issues anyone had. I'm just about to change a water pump and considering doing this.

Expensive, as well as the coolant you would need the flushing agent

Claymore (850 2xT5 engine build) has used it.

I think it is far more money than it is worth.

I agree with classicswede
One leak, one hose needs replacing, and its £200 straight down the drain

Used Evans when I rebuilt my Amazon so no flushing needed as the system was dry. I had a nightmare bleeding the air out, but that was probably normal for the Amazon. It's been there 2 years now without a hitch. Main reason for using was to get it maintenance free.

This is mainly for racing engines where every last method for getting rid of the heat has to be exploited ... Just use genuine volvo coolant and it will last for years ( decades ) and do a great job .

Cheers for the feedback the main bonus for me is no corrosion as said maintenance is a constant so that rules that out. Over heating isn't really an issue. I don't think the cost is prohibitive really but some might. Driving aircooled cars for years I like the idea of water coolant being less of an issue.
