Yes those 2 cars are absolutely gorgeous.

Both of them have attended some of the same Volvo meetings as I did in the 80 & 90ies.

The White 123GT is owned by Staffan K who also collects original Volvo accessories, its in a fantastic condition.
Notice the ultra rare "GT" headrests and Marchall police headlights (twin reflectors) - not for the "riff raff"

The roof,s on these 2 are not the Golde that Volvo fitted, but aftermarket Webasto roofs fitted in the late 80/early 90ies.
The "eagle eye,d" can see they are smaller than the original Golde.

J T ONE commented on the photo Derek UK posted: "Marchall police headlights (twin reflectors) - not for the "riff raft" " shows a set of SVE E2 Marchal Amplilux lamps that are part of a complete package that included Marchal headlight buckets and rims.

The photo above shows a set of NOS purchased in the original boxes SVE Marchal twin bulb and reflector Amplilux lamps that I was thrilled to find. These lamps fit into standard 1800s or 122s headlight buckets. They replace a set I used from 1976 to 1988 on several of my Volvos - the lamps work exceptionally well but you need to fit an alternator as on the high beam all four of the high powered bulbs along with the wipers and heater will run down the battery.

The smaller reflectors in the front are for what Marchal called the "City Lamps" - on high beam another set of bulbs in the center of the main reflector then come on and produce a pattern of light that projects further that any other lamps I have had since then.

Cool

I've got a set of these, bought many moons ago at a jumble. They were in a Unipart Quadoptic box (rebranded Wipac). Seeing that they weren't the same as the box I asked, with a straight face, what had happened to the originals. I fitted them to my car when it was restored. Why did you use those and not these I replied. Well I knew I'd have a job finding another if I broke one he said. The price was right. From memory it would have paid for his Wipacs.

I never found a set of these, only one Marchall headlight rim.

I have a set of the Cibie dual reflectors thou - also nice, but the Marchall,s are better looking.

Speaking of headlights, here is THE "Holy Grail" of Volvo Amazon accessories

It took me 25 years to find all the parts.

How about a much bigger picture. Clicking on that just brings up one the same size as the thumbnail.

Thanks - hope to get it running again sometime in the near future.
As you can see on the cobber pipes has she been tucked away.
The patina they now have is almost good enough for me to let them stay on the car.

The engine car runs a M41 with type J overdrive & std rear axle with diff lock.

Std bulkhead - innerwings - gear tunnel - front frame etc etc.

It has a radiator from a later Volvo, and electric cooling fan.

I will replace the horrible Blue silicone cables, with some proper old type ignition cables, and have also found a Black throttle cable, to replace the ugly Yellow thing it has now.
