Very nice - looks well after the wash. What foam do you use, and do you use a wax?

I've only had my S60 for a month and even though I'm a saloon car fan, I find myself admiring more and more the XC60s I see out on the road. Maybe next time!

Thanks

I used Karcher Ultra Foam as it was part of the package I got with the new pressure washer.

Again I've only had this one a few weeks & when I rinsed it the water was beading nicely so I didn't bother waxing it.

Will do some research into waxes & sealers etc..

I meant to say I used autoglym extra gloss protection after my last wash. https://autoglym.com/extra-gloss-protection

Goes on easily, leave for 40-50 mins, and buff gently with a cloth. Nice beading and gloss. I found it pretty easy - nice results for little effort.

The foam looks like it makes cleaning the car a doddle too.

Yep the foam made it so easy the front was very fly splattered & the foam did most of the work for me.

I've actually got a bottle of the extra gloss protection at home so will put a coat of that on next time it gets a wash.

I haven’t used Extra Gloss Protection for a while as I changed to Autoglym High Definition Wax which is expensive, but gives a great finish and the tub of wax lasts for years!

A couple of pointers I found using EGP which might help - firstly, I always polished the bodywork first, buffed that off, then applied the EGP - finish always looked great.

Secondly, be careful not to get any EGP on any plastic trim - it is a real pain trying to get it off afterwards.

Enjoy your car and post some pictures when you have applied the EGP.

Very nice colour, I've not seen many in this livery. The paint looks in excellent condition too, maybe its been carefully hand washed in its previous life.

Mine is this colour, but never has been (and never will be) this clean.

That colour will look great with the HD wax. If you check Autoglym's site, they suggest cleaning, then a coat of Silicon Resin polish and then a coat of HD wax. I used Extra Gloss for many years, the HD wax is superb and is well worth the money. Shop around for the best price. The Polestar badge matches well!

Thanks, some Barsteward has put a scratch about 2cm long on the drivers door today not happy, being as the car was parked with plenty of space next to it. Hopefully I can resolve it with a bit of TLC.

Will look out for HD wax & apply a coat as soon as the dust dies down where I live, It's a new estate almost complete but the dust is a nightmare, wouldn't risk waxing the car at the moment, at least a quick snow foam, wash & dry can be completed in an hour.

I do like the contrast of the lickle blue badge & boy the Polestar does make big difference over & above the small BHP gain,
