Have you loosend the entire console? There is in the bottom of the arm rest compartment a little cover at the bottom (under a rubber mat). This can be pryed off. Under that are then two more screws. Undo these and you can slide the console around and if you unclip the boot...

Cool MOST security?

I installed / unistalled my unit about 5 times until I realised it is not working because of MOST security being ON.

GROM supplier told me it's a "quick job" by local Volvo garage to turn the security off but after 4 calls to them and varying understanding of what MOST is, I have been told they won't do this due to "security concerns".

Could anyone recommend a way to turn MOST security off so that I can use my GROM unit?

thanks

Now that's interesting because my 08 model doesn't. It's an auto box so that might have some bearing. My partner has a Mazda that beeps once when reverse is selected and to me it's a really useful feature that both warns and confirms that you're in reverse. There certainly isn't an option in the IDIS menu, nor any reference in the Owner's Manual, but if anybody knows whether this can be enabled i'd be interested to hear.

Hello.

I'm I new owner of a c30 2007 1.6.
This is my first post actually in the forum.
I read all the topic and I have some questions.

1. I have single unit CD player. So I'm ok with that?
2. How I can check if the security that you mention is off or on?
3. This options can be done only from Volvo dealer or if we buy cable and a Vida software we can do it ourself?
4. After all that years did the problem above fixted?
5. What is p1 version and how I can check it?

Thanks a lot in advance.
I hope someone help after all that years.

Default USB does not function with android

I have recently acquired a V70 R-Design of 2012 vintage which is a super car but I cannot use the usb connection with my HTC M8 smartphone, it works fine with the Bluetooth streaming connection but it will not communicate via usb, has anyone any clues as to how to enable this functionality? Being able to search and select tracks and albums via the car controls would be great.

It's probably due to Android/HTC Sense.

I think a more recent update from ICS onwards made it necessary to add an app in order for Android to mount as a storage device (as required for most USB media connections).
