Default XC60 2015 D4 SE LUX - Internet setup

Hello - I have recently purchased an xc60 2015 SE LUX but I am struggling to setup WIFI/Internet in the car. My car does not have a sim card reader in the glovebox, does this mean Internet option and the WIFI button on the console will not work? Any advise welcome. Thanks A.

If your car does not have a SIM card then there is no outside connection available. Any internet connection or WiFi hotspot is going to need to come from your phone, or get one of these MIFI dongle devices.

Have same model.
From memory you set up an account on myvolvo via Volvo web pages.
Then, this is where I struggled, remove previous users from car memory think it's as simple as return to factory settings, set phone to mobile hotspot and search for connections.
Find your wifi and input login details.
You will find these settings in My car menu.
Hope that covers it.
Don't expect too much from apps I mainly use for music, send to car maps is a useful feature, forget using as a browser.
