Default Aircon Charge Valve leaking

Had my aircon regassed at Kwikfit. Or rather they tried but said it failed to hold pressure so they extracted and sent me away with no charge to have the valve sorted.

They thought it just needed tightening down - but I tried a valve tool and it would not reach. Does anyone know if the valve is anything special - or if I can get a new one on line to attempt to replace myself before going back to kiwi fit etc ?

Thanks

Not sure if this helps, but there are people who recondition condensers but in my case I replaced the whole unit for aftermarket (eBay) unit, (nissens). Surprisingly inexpensive, but with a recharge £30+, well worth a full fix. Mine must have had a stone chip as was losing refrigerant over 6 months, diagnosed with tell tale dye. Of course the fill fitting is included,

Hope this helps
