My question is: what sort of impact would this optimisation have on fuel-consumption of an XC60 T5 and is it something worth having on T5, which already is slightly more powerful? Thanks in advance.
I got my T5 Polestar-ed when it was about 2 weeks old. I did it really for the extra torque it provides,(same as the D4) Having driven diesels since 1987 I'm a lover of the torque they provide.
In my opinion it's worth it, but then I would say that after spending £625 having it done.
My Insurance didn't go up in price because of it.
I can't comment on fuel consumption, but not supposed to affect. But if you do use the extra gained performance, you will probably use more fuel.

Very valid points; thanks to you both. The Polestar Optimisation product sheet for T5 AWD clearly says and I quote “A Volvo with the Polestar Performance Optimisation has the same certified fuel consumption as the standard version.“ Product sheet attached for more detailed info.

Me too. My dealer has been excellent with their communication and has been checking their system every day. Fingers/toes crossed that the email lands tomorrow/Friday.....

Yep, same here. Waiting for an update on a MY19 XC90 T5

I chased Volvo UK who confirmed that they have started accepting orders at the factory and they suggested to chase the dealer early to mid next week for an update on build and delivery timescales...

I spoke to them this morning and was given the same info that the team in Sweden will start accepting the orders from Mon 26th March with first deliveries to start from June onwards. The online pricelist and the configurator for XC60 will be updated to MY19 on 1st April.

Heard nothing yet on mine; sometimes they say ‘no news is good news’ and I won’t know if that is true until I know the news!!
