Default V90 R Design - comfortable?

Can any V90 R Design owners out there let me know what you think of the ride/comfort? Does it feel harsh on British pot-holed roads? Are the seats still good old Volvo comfy or are they more liked hard, moulded bucket seats from a hot hatch?

Many thanks!

Edit - just seen another thread asking a similar question - sorry!!

I tried the r design and felt it was a bit harsh, but my harsh, maybe your ok. Best to try yourself on the worst road you can find.

I find mine to be very comfortable. But then I’ve come out of an Octavia vRS so I’d expect it to be less harsh than that.

No complaints here.

The drive home from the Bristol Dealer to Durham last Tuesday didn't cause me any discomfort, in fact after completing the 270 miles I was a bit sorry the journey was over. I like the ride much more than the XC60 it's replaced, it's obviously firmer but I wouldn't call it harsh, the seat is excellent and very supportive. It feels identical to the A6 S Line I had before the XC60, and I liked the way that drove, only this seat is better.

Most people seem to be completely besotted by the Volvo seats. Me, not so much. They are harder and lack the padding of many others. I have the standard Inscription seats and find that my Honda C-RV and Nissan Qashqai seats are actually more comfortable.

Yes really!

The Nissan also rides nicer on rough roads and has less road noise, but is far smaller [great for two or three average size people though]. The C-RV is generally noisier from the engine and about equal to the Volvo on road noise and is plenty roomy for five.
I rate the CRV very highly apart from the styling of the dash and materials used in the doors. Other things about it, including the 4wd system and wipers and outright performance and economy can't get near the XC90 though.

That's interesting, coming from an A6 I was looking for a smooth quiet cruiser, not so sure now.
