Default Which camshaft locking tool? C30 1.6 Petrol.

I have been looking at locking tools for doing the timing belt on my 09 1.6 c30. From what i can see there are two types, one which locks across the rear of the shafts and one which locks the VVT pulleys.

Does the 09 have VVT? which timing tool set do i need or is it both?

I'm hoping someone on here can point me in the right direction to save me stripping it for a look.

The diesels don't have VVT.

Oh sorry, I did not see the lack of 'd' there.

Your engine code should be B4164S3 (Ford Duratec 1.6) outputting 100bhp/150nm which does NOT feature variable valve timing.
