Just had a friend order one for his Velar a couple of days ago from Mymemory. Its come down in price by about £3 iirc. Hope he doesn't revisit and see this lower price before he gets his delivered.

Yes you can order them now and they will not start until you start to use them.

I have just ordered 1 too. The last 1 is just coming to an end as I have had it in my XC90 and downloaded map updates etc through it. Always worked a treat and at thisprice so much cheaper than direct from 3. Can't understand why 3 is so much more money.

Hi Pagan8c, was your last sim 12gb? Did you find it lasted a reasonable time?
Just wondering as my son might and try to use the data with his iPad when he’s in the car!

Think I might order one whilst they are in-stock and cheap. Only about 1/2 waythrough my current one, but no harm in having one now for when it is needed

As a comparison: My current 12Gb has about 6Gb free (6121Mb to be exact), and was activated 14th Oct '17 - so 5 months ago. I use the data for Spotify and updating apps (not maps - do those on PC). Audible is on AA, so will use my phones allowance I think. Not sure what the car itself will use: RTTI I guess, but not sure what else
