Mine is a 2011 Exec so I had a "T" cable already installed which just made connecting to the fuse board easier. I guess the "normal" socket is taken up by something else in the Exec (heated rear seats or whatever) Cheers Dave Last edited by Harley Dave; Mar 22nd, 2018 at 13:18. Reason: Typo |

Results of quick test with my meter this afternoon
Pin 9 - Permanent live - Yes 12.6v (ignition off) Pin 13 - Earth - Nominally for pin 9 but to earth anyway (of course) Pin 10 - Ignition controlled Live - actually only live if engine is running - Yes 14.6v Pin 11 - Earth - Nominally for pin 10 but also to earth anyway (of course) So as Swiss said (and I expected) all the pins are connected as necessary for towing/powering a modern caravan (inc. continuous live for ATC or your manufacturer's equivalent) Cheers Dave |

ALL SORTED !
I checked the harness earth strap and that was good. I then tried a multimeter on pin 6 for the brake lights and for some reason was getting 0.65v whether the brake pedal was pressed or not. Seeing as the connections for the harness and module can only be fitted to each respective port I decided to unplug all of the harness from the fuse board and the module and then carefully reconnect them all ensuring that everything was pushed home fully until I heard the click on each plug. Brake lights and all other trailer lights now working. I can only assume that I have not pushed one of the plugs into it's housing properly and really, with hindsight, I should have retraced my steps with the connectors as soon as the fault appeared but all in all I am happy that it's now working. Thanks to all that contributed.
