Just a question on where you connect your vacuum pump to bleed through. Where the connection is circled in yellow above do you connect to the male or female side of the connection?

Bit his arm off and bought genuine Volvo air, fuel and oil from a main dealer for £53.14.
The price for the fuel filter alone that I was getting from factors was £40+.
Don't ever use a filter from a factor , Even the volvo ones were blocking prematurely and loosing power or breaking down ..., but they had the sense to change it to a higher capacity , that is what the blue dot means ... The interval was changed from 37500 miles to 25000 miles around 2015 too !

Just reading up on the filter change. I have a 2009 C30 1.6D with 120k miles and got an error code P0089 when I checked this morning. The error code seems to relate to a pressure sensor, but perhaps also the fuel filter. As I doubt the filter has ever been changed I thought I'd start there.
