Interesting thread! I noticed in the posted pictures that the opening for the gearbox is "square" rather than round (following the contour of the bellhousing.) Is this a modification, or a change in the body that was introduced at some point during production?

Interesting. The parts book appear to show a rounded opening on all models inc B16. Anyone actually seen one? There are 4 different firewall part numbers but the differences appear to be for BW35 automatic cars.

Thanks for the pictures. Very interesting. The chase is now on to find out when it changed to square. I would suspect that it was when the car was changed to B18.
