... the bidding is going up much more slowly this time, perhaps the world is becoming bored with 'one of the best, if not the best examples of a classic Volvo 240' every week... or perhaps the seller is just making the shill bidding less obvious?

I suppose there is a remote possibility that the seller subscribes to this thread, but it is more likely that he reads the Land Rovers 'R Us forum :-).

I thought the 2 door was quite a rare car?
As a slightly rough car I wouldn't see it at much more if it was in Europe/LHD country, but minted then I could see it fetching 15k euro? But could cost 9k to make mint tho. I do like the 2 door, if it was a couple of grand I'd buy it. |

My head said this one was worth closer to £3,000 but my heart was willing it on towards £5,000 - deep down I think I wanted it to be worth more because if this car sells for £4,300 then the RB is worth quite a bit more (perhaps £6,000). That is something of an academic argument in that I can't imagine any circumstances under which the RB would be for sale in the foreseeable future. Also I don't think motor cars like the RB should be worth £6,000. I suppose we may well see this oddball LHD 2 door again if the seller is determined to get more for it. Alan
