Tired springs can make this happen . If you buy new springs dont worry when the old ones look longer than the new ones .

Thanks for that Stiggy, why would the old springs be longer than the new one's?
would have thought it would be the other way round?

Hello gents
Thanks for the helpful replies to my original question,
i bought two new heavy duty springs from partsforvolvosonline.com and she is sorted, back to her normal ride height, maybe a few mill higher, and i have to say thankyou to partsforvolvosonline, superb service, super quick delivery, will try them first for anything else my 240 needs in the future.

IMHO you do not really need HD springs unless you intend to use the car fully loaded 24/7. Standard springs (& maybe replacement bushes whilst your're at it) will majorly improve handling & ride). HDs will give a harsher a ride.
But obviously the final decision is one for you.

Good Luck.

Hi everyone!!...i put HD springs on my old bus and all i can say is i can feel a real difference to the handling..my old bus was in a sorry state before work carried out..it has a fair bit of weight in it most of the time..not over the back axle most of the time..but comes into its own carrying cement and sand etc..i cannot comment about normal use springs...HD springs just give the option for either conditions..cheers hj....hi paul!...whats occuring with the gunsons: bleed kit...gossip gossip!
