I once owned a furred out VW Beetle, headlining, doors, even the dash with contrasting glove box and speedo panel.
Not necessarily something to be proud of, but still, somebody had to be the one to do it.

Oi! about twenty years ago I had a black and white fluffy cow
must have been a stray from a different paddock because all
the other cows people were using had completely different markings.

Nothing like soft leather under a post swimming almost bare arse.

I just scored all the console and glovebox ex woodgrain trim in really destroyed condition from an outdoors
shelled car full of leaves with trees growing through it and I'm trying to figure what to cover it in, fur, velvet
carpet, remember it's a spare set, the original trim is just going on a holiday, for my C70 with a Mexican theme.
The interior is light grey with blue accents and I've already got some adobe cushions for the rear passenger lounge
and scored some of that tufty soft fluffy bathroom mat that people also put as toilet seat covers and p15s absorbers
at the base of the cistern that I'm making into floor mats that feel real flash scrunched up between the toes.

So it's either going to work really well, or become a real wog box.
Got the love shack cd just need some friends

I never see the point of seat covers.

Imagine owning a car from new, for 10 years.

Fitting covers on day one, then removing them when you sell the car on.

Possibly poor paintwork and interior, except for these 'pristine' seats.

It just wouldn't look right.

I had a set of white tiger stripe covers on my Micra, back in 1988, but it was 1988 after all! Never had covers on any car seat since.

I don't need to imagine as I have done exactly that. Bought her indoors a mk4 Fiesta with 5000mls on the clock and bought a pair of genuine Ford tailored seat covers for the front seats. 16 years and 170,000mls later the covers were beginning to show signs of wear, so I removed them a couple of weeks ago. Now the exterior is typical Fiesta rust bucket look, the door cards are looking worn, but hey the front seats are as good as new. I now need to wear extra dark glasses everytime I open the door as the seats are dazzling.

One of my mates used to own a 2.3 litre Bedford van, painted like the A-Team van.

Same type of alloys, in red too, but the entire interior was decked out in beige fur, from the dash to the rear doors!

Also had old Mini tail lights fitted to the inside of the rear door pillars, switchable from the dash.

He thought it was a 'fanny magnet', but it really was terrible!

Cool

I'm thinking of using something slightly better than duct tape to repair my drivers seat, so if anyone breaking or upgrading their front seats has the normal dark grey ones, I'm trying to buy one of the seat pockets to use as a repair patch for my drivers seat.

Do phase twos have a front pocket, the leather is too soft, crinkly stuff
only used in smallest panels for some stretch and give, and it's basically
left overs from the last of the hide.
The seat backs and sides are vinyl.
So in German, only the seat faces are leder.
Take a knife to the wreckers
I bought a mint back seat from the wreckers
and used the leather to have an upholsterer make a new drivers one.
The original drivers seat had been repaired with leather from the rear headrests
the headrest then resewn with matching fabric which wasn't immediately obvious.
Anyhow the repairs lasted only weeks then became really ugly

There's a homeless type guy nearby that bathes in the creek
I wonder if he'd accept a lift to the bottle shop
Nah, probably run a mile, thinking he's gonna wake up next to
an empty flagon with a sore aaaaaaaaaagesundheit
