Hi Bongodave, i am happy with your reply, the Witch Hunt comment was food for thought for everyone and that it could happen. Good to see your concern for another member, i thought that this was one of the main points for this Forum and I Salute you for that Sir. (not taking the P**s) The problem i see is that others may join the conversation (Trolls) not knowing the situation and creating a S**T Storm which then goes on and on and on.

Just spotted this post, didn't realise Dai has left.
Agree Dai knows his stuff, but his customer relations is shocking
I have always supported Dai, though sometimes things just don't get done.
Mails to him sometimes get ignored, which leaves his customers in a helpless position

I'm not going to blame anyone here, but having read 100s of threads in the LPG section it is evident to me that if Dai leaves for good it will be a great loss to the forum; as a new thirsty-for-knowledge member I hope that all issues will be resolved and that he'll stay.

Here here. I run 3 cars on LPG, so have been involved with lots of so called LPG specialists.
I can safely say they have very little knowledge in comparison to Dai.
My only difficulty with Dai is the distance between us.
Last car I had converted, by a LPGUK approved installer, is not a patch on Dai's work
On another issue, I have been told BP are removing LPG from all their forecourts hmm not good for the future of LPG.

On the other hand if people have had a bad experiance with a trader then perhaps the more people that are aware the better

[snip]

this is a owners forum where people try to help others and hopefully prevent them being ripped of by rogue traders..

[snip]

Dia has been found guilty in a court of law and has been made to pay the cost of a proper LPG installer to rectify the screw up install of a Forum members car..

If that's the case as regards this dai character being taken to county court by a forum member and found against then people should know the facts ..

Yes, but it is a case of too little too late??

If the said help had come straight away at the start of all the problems and were rectified, you and Dai wouldn't be in this current position?????

It is of no surprise that people do not want to accept your so called 'offered help' as they have spent so much of their time, effort and hard earned cash trying to get things put right, travelling to Dai and return travelling to Dai at their own expense (at some considerable distance) to have Dai's errors corrected and then they still have vehicles in dangerous conditions with rough running to then be ultimately ignored with non answering of emails, calls and other communications?? All because Dai has stuck his head in the sand.

This is my appreciation of peoples problems but as said if Dai were to have actually provided good customer service and sorted peoples problems at his own expense and returning peoples calls, emails etc... then he and you would not now be where you are with things. Dai would still be a very active and respected member of the site.

It is shame to see his previous reputation reduced to cinders over the last 6 months or so but has only himself to blame and not others. I think to some degree Dai is a victim of his own kindness and instead of just telling people their cars are not in a fit state to be converted he tries his best to make things work. This however is also his own failing as a 'professional installer' as he should turn this work down. In accepting any sort of vehicles he then becomes liable for any problems that occur.
