A You Tube video would be interesting!

Was the tracking and alignement adjusted after the front end rebuild and do you have far Eastern tyres ??
Have you bounce checked the suspension and is it making any noise over bumps etc ??

It might help improve road safety if you were not in a hurry whilst figuring out what is wrong.

You do get torque steer as you know and road camber and surface will affect it a bit but shouldn't be too excessive. I assume you had the top mounts and bearings done with all the new parts? As suggested above, is the car tracking correct? I also feel the need to wrestle the wheel a little when 'getting a move on' in 1st and 2nd gear but not to the point where it feels dangerous.

I get this sometimes too! However, I think I have some sort of fault suspected ARB related on my front nearside but don't know if they are related..

i dont have any clunk noises in the front suspension, the steearing was aligned as well.
the funny thing is that before i changed all the front suspension the car had the same problem, i get nervous everytime o have to overtake a car in low speed... pedal to the metal, old that steearing weel with both hands and pray!!!!

the tyres are for summer, if i get weel spin its easy to control, but it the tyres stick to the ground, jesus, its realy hard. it makes me remember my old polo g40... wich a volvo s40 has nothing in common.

That's got some real good advice, like pumping the tyres up and checking the tread depth is the same on both sides. It also mentions that increasing the engine power above OEM makes the problem worse.
Sticking caliper or rear suspension fault are also mentioned as possible causes.

Part of last Warmaster post:

It sounds like the driver in front might need a prayer or two!
Try playing the Sound of Music or something.

Thumbs up

What about not pressing the accelerator quite so far down.

That stopped mine spinning the wheels.

Not trying to be a smart ass, just think you are maybe accelerating too hard and maybe the tyres can't cope.

i had other cars, even more powerfull, tire shredding machines, and never had this problem. they kept in a straigt line and never kicked the stearing weel this way. this volvo at the beggining was funny, now it lost all its fun to fear.
my a3 8l 1.8 turbo with +/- 270hp burned tires like hell, even in 3rd.
i will check the rear axle and tire pressure.
