Default LED Dash upgrade. Radio Next!

I upgraded my headlight and heater control panels today with spark blue LED's. I got this pack of 10 T4's from eBay for £7 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10pcs-T4-N...item2c979213fe

I thought I'd try them also in the heater control panel, just to see the effect (yes, I know they need to be the tall LED's), but they don't look to bad. Also, to my surprise, they also dim.

I really want to do the radio next. I took the facia off and seen it's 6 small bulbs soldered onto the motherboard (circled in red). I'm wandering if anyone has done this upgrade to a HU-605 radio and what LED's they used?

Any advice would be appreciated

They went straight in no problem. If you do get them tho, fit them with the right size flat head screwdriver. The plastic holder is really soft and you'll bugger them up with an ill fitting screwdriver.

I have a 2003 V40, I need to change the burnt out bulbs on the headlight switch panel (3 bulbs) and the climate control panel (3 bulbs). Do I need T4 neo wedge or T5 neo wedge LED bulb?

The LEDs are a tad bright, I toned them down a bit by colouring them with a Sharpie Marker. I used a dark green but the outcome was still a medium blue and on the bright side.
Installation was not without modification as the new LEDs are rather thin where they lock on to the voltage tracks so I made a little arc with the wires, now they are snug!
Of course the LEDs are polarized so I have a 50/50 chance of installing correctly.... no such luck, I had to re-install all three!
Attached are a few pics....

Now my Volvo seems more complete!

Do I need to order regular T4 Neo Wedge LED bulb or T4 Tall Neo Wedge LED Bulb?

T4 Neo wedge for the headlight controls

Thank you!
Would these bulbs work without any modification or soldering?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/10x-White-T4...efaba4&vxp=mtr

What about the 3 bulbs in the climate control? Are they also T4? or T5?

They look like they will fit and will go in without soldering etc. You may have to turn them 108 degrees as SMD's are polarity sensitive. Don't put everything back together until you've plugged them in and tested them

T4's are also needed for the climate control

Great, this is good news! I am going to buy the LED bulbs from that eBay listing.

Quick question.

I just look at the pictures posted on Page 1 of this thread.

The climate control bulbs do look longer than the bulb from the headlight switch panel. Can someone correct me?
