Default 740 estate for parts in Berkshire

After all your help, esp from OldBlueVolvo with his diagnostic chart, I worked out it's probably the ignition control unit that's died on my car. Being desperate for wheels, I went out and bought a 100,000 mile 1994 850SE estate which is very nice, so the old 740 is going for scrap unless anyone would like to come and get it, or rob bits off it.

1986, last of the carb models, Weber carb, 199,000 miles, new heavy duty springs and rear shocks fitted 5000 miles ago, blue cloth seats in good nick, car is otherwise a bit scruffy, going to need a clutch, n/s electric window not working & a few other minor defects, so that's why I made the hard decision.

I know Prufrock was after some bits, but I'm too new to be allowed to PM him.

Anyone wants it, PM me with your email or phone, or post a reply here.

If you've no takers for the whole car and decide to break it yourself, let me know. I'm in need of an indicator lens. Also, incredibly convieniently, I live in Bracknell.
I'll PM you my email address.

Thanks
Craig

Shame you are breaking the car...still they can't all survive...pity also I am a way from you otherwise I'd have some parts from you for my 740.

Car is now mine.

I have bought this for spares so let me know if there is anything people want.

crogthomas, I think the guy will contact you about the indicator lense as I said you might as well have it.

This won't hang around as I am already pushing the limits of my storage space.

So be quick and get a bargin.

Hi,

if possible I'd like the nearside door mirror - if it is manually operated (and black).

Thanx, Prufrock.

Cheers. He has, and I'll be picking it up tonight. Thanks.
Will you be trailering the car away? If you need a functioning indicator I can swap on my half disintegrating one so you've got something at least?
