Default Leather Seats

Not really a technical question, but I wonder if anyone knows if any of the leather treatment products on the market for leather seats has the useful by-product of stopping them from squeaking.
5 up my GLT sounds as if I am in the bulk transport of mice business.
Any tips on stopping the squeaks?

hello again Alec, I treated mine with mcguires (por spelling) leather cleaner, then leather feed, then the conditioner. It was a complete faff to do but it really brought back the supplness of the leather.

To get a good result it is best to spend the money and get a qaulity product, I'm normally a skin flint when it comes to spending money but from the results I gained it was worth the money. About £10 per bottle of treatment.

failing that call a valeters and ask how they do it under the pretense that you are looking at sending your car to them

I've never tried this on upholstery, but I have often wondered if saddle soap and 'neatsfoot' oil would work, as that is how horses tack is treated, and that lasts for many years.

hello there, I really wouldn't try that. I deal with horses and tack all day as a job and the oil/soap/conditioner that is used on tack stays slightly moist and doesn't completely dry, so on a hot day will be likely to weep into your clothing, not to mention the smell of the products!
