C70: - On Board Computer

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if my C70 would have the cabling in place and the facility to use the Info switch. I would assume that the model range would have standardised cabling just they would have left the switch off the dash.

Is this the case? So, if I bought the switch would it work?

All C70/S70/V70 leaved the factory with the BC Hardware (Display) fitted even if no BC was selected as option.

In order to activate the BC you need the INFO switch, the short harness from switch to instrument panel and the software from the dealer to activate it (around 200euros). Another possibility for cars without CAN BUS is to replace the whole cluster with one from a car where the BC was activated...

I can get the switch for 99p on ebay but it seems a lot more involved then.
