Tracing Alarm Trigger with VIDA
Hi,
Does anyone know if the UEM / CEM / relevant module(s) persist the cause of the last alarm activation between lock/unlock/start cycles and whether this can be subsequently accessed via VIDA later? I've had a good look around in VIDA but I don't see any relevant options. It's a MY 2007, should that make any difference. TIA. |

Thanks.
The wiring diagram shows the data path from the siren module as LIN, via the UEM, so I got fixated on finding it there or the CEM. |

All door switch and bonnet / boot switches go to the REM, the REM sends them to the UEM via CAN bus and the UEM to the Alarm via LIN bus

VIDA definitely will show you the causes of the last alarm activations (3 from memory) but cant remember the exact route to it as it was over a year ago that i use it.

It is indeed stored in the REM.
Should it be of help to anyone else reading this thread, it is accessed via the "Vehicle Communications" tab and (in my case) was the REM parameter named "Alarm cause 1". In this case: Mass Movement sensor, rear. Thanks all. |
