Stereo/DVD: - USB connection

Hi there recently bought a XC90 2010 2.4l SE. The previous owner has had a dvd player installed, I was wondering is there a usb connection somewhere in the car for connecting an mp3 player or is it an optional extra, I thought this would be standard on this type of car?

There's a usb connection in the glove box up towards the top

Had a look but only see a missing piece of trim and an orange through plug connector. If its a flying lead usb port maybe its fell down back of glove box will need to look harder.
