V40 rear seat panel vibration
Hi,
Our 2017 V40 D4 - has developed an annoying "vibration" / "resonance" that appears on bumps coming from the rear of the car. Initially I thought it was the parcel shelf - discounted - but have thoroughly looked at all aspects. I have been able to rectify the sound by tapping the back side of the right rear seat (the 60 side) with my finger. A plastic resonance sound - as obviously there is some plastic panel behind the fabric on the back of the seat (the boot side). It would probably take longer to take it in for warranty than to have a look at it myself. I have a great service centre - but it is a pain to drop it off and pick it off later. Accordingly - I wish to remove the panel off the back of the rear seat to investigate. However - I have been unable to locate any instruction or diagrams that indicate the method of securing the panel - ie. I do not just want to rip at it and break any plastic fittings. Does anyone know how the fabric covered back panel is removed? Does it simply have plastic clips, or needs to be bent to the side for a tab to slip out? Has anyone else come across this plastic type resonance with bumps? Otherwise an excellent car. After 10,000km - still loving the drive. Appreciate any assistance. |
