1998 V70 T5 lowering springs
Hi all,
My springs have some corrosion as to be expected, and as part of my rebuild I'm replacing all suspension components including springs. Does anyone have a good set of springs they could suggest? Not really after a massive drop (potentially 15mm) but don't really want to spend £250 on Eibach either! Appreciate your thoughts. |

They're certainly good quality, but they do not match on weight rating. If you do a lot of load lugging you'll find them a huge downgrade. On stock springs I could take 4 passengers with a 23kg suitcase each and still be 2" off the bump stop. With these Lesjofors I'm on the bumpstops with just 4 passengers.

To be honest, I don't want a low rider! It's just to replace the corroded springs with something that will work well with new dampers.
I don't carry more than one passenger, but still, I don't want the car to drop a lot! Are the springs you mention progressive? I have them in my basket on the PFV website. |

Progressive as in they have a progressive spring rate. The 30mm lowering springs I have from lesjofors are not progressive.

Get some £200 ebay coilovers.... They’ve worked wonders on mine. Seriously.
Actually don’t they’re horrific. Genuinely worse than you could ever imagine. |

Yep progressive means the low speed and high speed winding is different to suit low and high speed reaction. Low quality springs are usually not progressive, but then again, the original springs probably aren't either!
No coilovers! I have new Sachs rear dampers and TRW front ones plus everything else I could buy new. |

I only have the Lesjofors on the rears, but they're coming off for the sake of 75 quid. Standard ones going on. I'd never put them on the front anyway.
