Default intermittent missing on cold engine

Looking for advise on the following issue please.
The car (960 3ltr estate with tartareni single point injection installed in 2000) generally runs ok but sometimes the following occurs
From a cold start on a morning, the car runs ok for about 2/3 miles then starts running erratic.
After a few miles it settles down and is ok for the rest of the day
This is not consistent as some days there is no problem.
I have not had the problem when running on petrol and also during the erratic running if I switch to petrol there is no problem that I am aware of.
I have changed the injector top & bottom "O" rings about 2 month ago to rule out loss of fuel mix as the engine is warming up.
Any idea's
Thanks
Paul

It sounds like it could be the vapouriser starting to freeze

does that suggest that the engine needs to be a little warmer before switchin to gas ?

Single point will most likely be starting on gas with petrol only as a back up.

Tartarini vapourisers are know for blocking up waterways and suffering these kind of issues

It is most likely down to lower temperatures reducing gas pressure in the tank , combined with less available heat in the evaperator . LPG powered forklifts also suffer a similar problem at this time of year , the are left in a warm location after a days work , so the gas evaperates to replace the gas used . Then when they go outside working the lower temp reduces the ability of the gas to maintain pressure in the tank & so you get a lower flow of liquid to the evaperator . Another & often overlooked problem is that LPG can actually leave a brown tarry gunk in the evaperator affecting how it operates , stripping & cleaning the evap normally cures the problem same as cleaning a carb or or fuel injectors . Be careful if you dismantle any parts of your lpg system as you may end up with a gas leak , liquid or vapour
