Question X Type Wheels On V50 2008

Iv trolled through the posts on here trying to find an article on this, I thought I had commented on it but clearly not, im just wanting some wheel nut clarity, so anyways, here goes....

I'm putting my Madusa Alloys in for a Refurb and was wanting to put a set of Alloys from my X type on it in the meantime, I know the nuts are different, X type has Flat nuts whereas the V50 had Cone shaped ones, my question is will I be able to put the X type alloys on with the nuts from the X type? This may sound like a daft question to 90% of u on here but I have my child in the car so want to be on the safe side

Better Safe Than Sorry as they say!

Thanks Alan

I must be in that 10% that gets it then lol

www.wheel-size.com will tell you exactly what size and thread nuts the two cars take - both figures need to match. Also check the centre bore sizes to make sure the X-type ones will go on the V50 hubs.

The wheels from the X type will fit V50 as X type uses Mondeo running gear and V50 is same as Focus. All Ford 5 stud are the same fitting but check width and offset or you may have rubbing. Use the Jag wheel nuts with the Jag wheels.
