Default v50 diesel: Front wheel bearing replacement

Chaps,

Unfortunately her ladyship's V50 2.0D Sport has eaten a wheel bearing.

I'm debating swapping the entire hub carrier with a donor car of the same age and engine... it was suggested I swap the entire NSF strut assembly but as mine has recent shocks, I was thinking of splitting the hub carrier / strut.

I assume, given it's a single pinch bolt, that the hub carrier and / or strut is keyed as it were thus can only go back in one position? Aside for that, it would appear to be a straightforward task - bottom ball joint, track rod end, caliper carrier off, driveshaft bolt, ABS sensor wiring and swap over?

Did debate a new one but my tame mechanic can't fit me in till next week and the costs are in the region of £120.00+ and I'm a tight Fifer!

Cheers

Scrub that gents, decided I can't be arsed spending my day off scrabbling about wrestling with old hub carriers so it's in the garage as we speak...

Pub!

Easy job to replace the wheel hub, as you mention the things to take off. You would have also needed a gen2 wheel bearing kit, as the hub and bearing push in as one one the 2009 D.
