Default Some parts info for the s40 1.6d Lux

Hi guys, hope you all are well. First post in a long time, I got my hands on a beautiful s40 a few months ago. A good deal with high millage but with full service history with volvo. I got it and then I noticed some sight scraping noises coming when turning, I'm thinking is the brakes so I'm wondering if any one can help with the size of the discs I'll need, it's a 59 plate s40 with the 1.6d drivE engine. It hasn't had the flywheel changed yet so I'm looking to get that done also, is it worth changing it to a single mass flywheel or stocking to oem parts? Also if anyone knows someone that can help for a good price around sw8 in London, that would be amazing. Thank you for looking 👍🏽

Default What distance "around" SW8 is?

Hi,
I don't know about diesel engines and DMFs and whatnot, but I do know a trustworthy Volvo specialist. Place is called GB Autos, located in North Cheam. While it may be located a bit further away than "around", I guess they will give you a pretty good ballpark figure for parts and labour. They never did me wrong. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Rear brakes will definitely be 280mm non-vented, fronts will probably be 278mm vented, possibly 300mm vented.
