drive train whine when no torque is applied
hi all,
I just want to check with anyone who has a S40/V50 with the 1.8 petrol engine and MTX75 manual transmission. I am driving around for around 10k miles with a very faint whine in the drivetrain when letting go of the accelerator at higher speeds (60+ mph). It's very faint but noticeable and it immediately stops after applying a small bit of throttle. this sound is present with both the gearbox in neutral, with clutch in and in gear. no sound whatsoever at lower speeds and with torque applied. the sound has not become louder nor I had any problems with the transmission for the last 10k miles. just wondering if anyone have heard this as well? and if not, what could cause this? |
