Thanks for that mate, yes definitely looking forward to popping it on tonight. Had a scan under the rear last night and looks a lot smaller than I initially thought these would be (For the S40)

Just need to pick up some grease on the way back, and if the weather holds I should be able to pop it on

So after popping the car up on stands and having a good look, I found that I was missing a tool and couldn't undo one of the bolts.

had a good look under the car and it looks absolutely filled with dirt and muc so going to leave this for the weekend task to do now and clean the rear underside of the car and reapply some underbody wax protection and then swap out the rear sway bar.

Looking at the sway bar it actually looks like it was due to be replaced soon as its starting to flake quite bad.

So popped it on this weekend and yes can definitely feel a difference, rear does seem stiffer. Job turned out to be a lot more work that I initially thought and luckily had all the tools.

Will do more of a write up on the thing under my car post in the showroom part of this site

Will paste link here when done but here is a pic:

Yes, I'm lead to believe that's how they work.

Spot on. Leverage. Further away the link is from the bar, easier it is to twist it.

Where can you track in your neck of the woods? Just interested.

Yeh that's the thing, there really isn't anything around here. I think the closest one is Castlecombe?

But the car is going up to Silverstone to have a blast up there with some of the volvotuning.net crew on this TRAX day

Thought it would be a trek for you. Luckily I'm only about 45 minutes from Brands Hatch. Not the Volvo! 2005 Mini Cooper S, the early supercharged one, quite heavily breathed upon. Fun.
