Default V50 sat nav update "unable to read disc"

Hi all. I have recently purchased a 2011 V50 1.6 DRIVe SE Lux and wanted to update the sat nav as it was rather out of date. I purchased the update DVDs from satnavdvd.co.uk and started the update. The first disc worked fine, but about 15-20 minutes into the update process with the second disc, an error popped up on screen saying "unable to read disc" and I can't get past it! The disc itself is clean and scratch free so I assume the data itself must be the problem. Does anyone know if there is some sort of protection that means that only genuine volvo discs can be used, or do I just have a dodgy DVD? I have emailed satnavdvd.co.uk about the problem but have yet to hear back from them. Is there anything I can do in the meantime to allow me to use the navigation system? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

You do not original discs. The problem is either in the DVD disc (which I suspect is a copy itself) or in the DVD player.
