If you can stay in cruise at about 76 mph you can squeeze out 35 mpg.

Very best at that speed in 4 years of ownership was 37 mpg but not managed to achieve since.

I've noticed tyre pressure helps (39psi best) and running on nitrogen instead of air may give you a few more miles.
So you getting around 300 to 350 per tank?

The tank is larger than you seem to think it is.

It hold 15 gallons (including the bit in the pipe )

So 32mpg will give 480 miles.

I get around 600km to 650km (372 to 403 miles) per tank, with general mix of motorway and round town driving

For the 65 litre tank this means around 10l/100km consumption

So 31mph is about right ?

I been reading other links and the average is 30 and below mpg for the 185bhp,

Strange where there is such a difference between the models

You're missing an option for 350-400 .....

I've got the 185, and tend to get 31mpg for daily commuting - on a long steady motorway cruise I've had it up to 37 before.

Around 30mpg is about right

it will vary HUGELY depending on your driving style, and by a smaller amount depending on tyres and tyre inflation and how heavily loaded the vehicle is.

Interesting thread. I've just done my first full tank to full tank fill (including the bit up the tube both times) and mine came out to 27.8mpg tyres are currently at the 32psi i thought it recommended and that was a good mixture of small country roads, dual carriageways, and town. i have the 185bhp auto. I have to say I've been taking it steady and not sure i could achieve more without a long motorway run. If everyone agrees the 185bhp is the most thirsty is a remap worth considering ?

I was thinking if a remap might help as well.

I don't mind putting the fuel in the car just as long as it's not burning more fuel than it shoold lol

I've had 34mpg from my 185bhp auto, Midlands to Dorset or Cornwall, so mainly motorway or fast A roads.
I have to say, no doubt controversially, that the speed restricted stretches of the motorway for roadworks has helped increase my overall mpg on these runs.

Well my main trip is to and from work, I do spend 20% of that in stop start and tthen I a am on a A road around 60mph for 20min.

And again I seeing about 30 to 31mpg.

I have filled up today, I have recipt and will work out MPG again but sounds like my 350miles per fill up is about right for the 185bhp..
