Default C30 T5 '09 Clutch help

I took the plunge in May 2018 and bought my C30. I have thoroughly loved and enjoyed this car up until 2 days ago.

I bought the car knowing it had been remapped and had an up-rated clutch and smf flywheel fitted, apparently a Helix sports although they say they have never made a volvo flywheel. The release bearing has been a bit noisy for the last 2 months and i was just waiting to have it replaced.

2 days ago the clutch pedal stopped returning completely to the top and the release position dropped right to the floor. I have continued to drive untill just now i went to go out and now the car will no longer go in to gear, annoying as im booked in to see a mechanic on monday.

My questions to this community if anyone can help are, does anybody know the model and part numbers of the current (maybe) Helix system? or any suggestions for a quality equivilent?

Is this not a clutch slave or master cylinder problem?

Soudns like the CSC has crapped itself, can you pop the pedal back up with your foot?

The best two options for upgrading the clutch kit on your car are the
- S60R/V70R clutch and flywheel
- Focus RS mk2 clutch and flywheel

The S60R clutch clamping plate has a higher force and generally regarded as the best, also LuK or Genuine Volvo CSC to boot.

I dont know if you want to continue running a SMF unless you are doing track? if going back to DMF I would either go OEM if you want to keep things standard but the S60R DMF kit would be a good way to go. Going to be getting this done on mine soon.

Yeah, well that's either a sign of failure or air in the clutch master cylinder.
I had an issue where I was bleeding my brakes and decided to do my clutch as well. For weeks afterwards (including several rebleeds) the symptom eventually disappeared.
But yes the S60R kit is I think roughly the same price as the RS mk2 kit so bit of a no brainer really.

I had this happen once with my 850 T5, pedal hit the floor and stayed there.

I replaced the Slave Cylinder but it was actually a hydraulic hose, hidden under the battery, that was slightly weepy and had caused the problem.

Once replaced all was OK and remains fine today (since I sold the car to a buddy who has done 6k miles since).
