Default Front and rear sunroof drain tubes location

In case one needs to inspect these tubes, worth clearing them with a water jet to prevent for any clogging (the holes to these tubes are at the sunroof tray corners) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_eXgdwMzQA

It’s really worthwhile giving the sunroof frame a spring clean and wax and polish once a year. You don’t want any grime buildup.

Hot soapy water is good to clean the drains.

Also note the rubber grommets to which the tubes attach, to go into inner wing/bulkhead, have a tendency to disintegrate, if they have been blocked for some time (mine were like black soggy crumble).
Luckily I had some larger diameter plastic piping (tumble dryer drain tube) which fitted the holes in the wing/bulkhead perfectly which I could push the drain tubes into (once I had thoroughly cleaned them)
Hey presto - no damp front footwell carpets anymore.

Did the sunroof drain problems get fixed - (possibly with the 2007 facelift)??

I have a 2011 with sunroof hence my question

Cheers

Dave

The problems are caused mainly by lack of maintenance.

If you keep your sunroof lip clean and free of dirt and flush the drains with hot soapy water regularly, you will never have a problem.

I clean and wax my sunroof internal painted areas once a year and flush the drains as part of my spring clean.

If only I could stop the rattle of the interior cover when it is open....

These drains...

If blocked, they'll cause:

Wet sunroof cover
Wet fabric by sunshields
Wet and dripping fabrics along A pillar
Puddle in footwell

Yes?

On the S60 V70 the front curtain airbag also gets wet and almost impossible to dry as it sits rolled up behind the roof liner - then in winter weather it will freeze.

Front footwell puddle is usually hidden under the carpet which is rubberized and will stay dry on the surface. This puddle also travels to the rear footwell
