Default Water in foot well

Hi, Has anyone had a problem with very damp rear o/s footwell? Is there a particular seal that is prone to let in rain water? Thanks. John

Check the door panel internal moisture seal.

That's the plastic sheet stuck to the door, visible immediately you pull the door panel off.

The plastic sheet prevents any moisture from flowing into the car, but only if it is still properly sealed to the door.
Check the seals around the entire sheet, especially at the bottom

Moisture always happens inside a door, mainly from rain trickling down the window and into the door interior.
The sheet stops it making the door panel damp and wet, and stops the water trickling into the car.

Water in that footwell [drivers side rear?] can also be caused by a block A/C drain.

It's located next to your left foot, under the carpet.

Water in our V50's rear footwell was caused (as Petey says) by a blocked A/C drain.
Easily fixed, but took months to fully dry out.

Sunroof drains, AC drain, windscreen, other seals. In that order from what I've read.

Front/rear footwells are not seperate and water generally moves to the back due to gravity.

If you want to dry it properly I'd recommended removing at least the rear carpet. Not actually that hard.

This. The foam under there is 1 1/2" thick. There can be a LOT of water under there before you notice it! Look for sunroof drain threads.

Just had this problem myself, 3 out of 4 sunroof drains had come detached some how, I'd start there, very easy to check and fix
