Also try preloaded the spanner thenot hit the spanner with a hammer, preferably soft faced.

Have a similar situation with landrover swivel mounting bolts, 14mm bi hex bolt head behind the swivel ball preventing end on access, the hammer on ring spanner has yet to fail and landrover bolts are renowned for being made of soft cheese.

When I done my rear bearings I jacked up the car and then jacked up the wheel also so that the suspension arms moved and gave me clear access to all bearing bolts on my XC90.

Thumbs up Job jobbed !

Job done ... aided by a magic mixture of 50/50 ATF and Acetone mixed up and slapped on liberally for three days ! When we finally cracked the bolt a good quarter of it was still dry !! No wonder it wouldn't budge ! Finally shifted it with an offset ring spanner and bodged up breaker bar made from an old length of swimming pool armature !!! Thanks for all the advice guys .. Much appreciated !!
