Really apreciate that buddy, dont know what else to try other than the switch pack back of the ignition switch.

This might sound like a weird solution, but a mate of mine did solve his starting/sparking issues by replacing a dodgy radio supressor on the alternator/supply.

hi,
I had a starting problem with my v70r awd 1998, checked everything, and i was really losing it, turned out to be the ignition coil, it was intermittent. It would spark sometimes and out of order. I would suggest that you take out all the plugs and reconnect the leads and with the plugs on the head turn the engine over and see if they are all sparking. My original coil had a crack in it, the replacement was intermittent, but the third worked fine. Mike |

No spark when cranking
Did you ever resolve the issue? I have 850 no spark when cranking, coil has 12v on run and "start" key position. Will spark just once as you let the key return to run position. Very occasionally will just catch, will start and run perfectly
