Hmmm I think it could be possible but it will cost a lot of money.
You need at least 2 new mirrors, interior trim, cable loom, software...

Don't think it's worth it...

Has anyone had success with this? (Adding BLIS to 2007 xc90) I have acquired the hardware (i think all of it...e.g. BLIS mirrors, BLIS indicator tweeter covers, BLIS switch) I also checked to see if there was a 5amp fuse in position 30 in CEM.

I am not having luck tracking down info on the software component. Is this a dealer only option to get the software installed? If so, would it be complimentary? Thank you very much for your help and guidance.

No, if it is possible at all, there would be a charge for the BLISS software, as with any other Volvo software. You would require the services of either a main dealer, or an independent equipped with a Volvo VIDA subscription, in order to install it. Again, if it is even possible to add as an after market option.

I'd recommend speaking with a dealer about what is possible before you put any effort into installing the components.

Unfortunately it's just not as simple as plug and play.

If Bliss was offered as a dealer retro fit then you might be in with a chance, otherwise probably cheaper and easier to change the car....

Right...I recall having the dealer perform "software updates" for free but havent been to a proper dealer for years. My volvo mechanic did share he thinks its possible but said the hard part would be finding the correct software PN...so far no luck.

One thing that provides hope is that VIDA notes that LIN connection between camera modules being pre-wired after MY05

If anyone has the PN for BLIS software or more details on software loads required...much appreciated.

I am going to attempt to finish the hardware install and see what happens.

If anything is not in the accessory catalogue ( and it is not ) then it is factory fit only ...

Don't you also need additional sensors in the rear bumpers which are radar based?

no , the mirrors have video cameras with heated lenses in them which asses the situation , the 2016 and later cars do have radar modules in the corners of the rear bumper , cost cutting :-) the video cameras are £500 to replace each !

I would have expected some chinese retrofit kits on ebay by now.... Parking sensors are £10-£20 for a reasonably functional kit.

It's worth mentioning though that the original Volvo set-up was a very high tech solution at the time.
