V50 no start when cold
Hi every one I wonder if someone could suggest some possible solutions to this problem
V50 2.0 D 2007 the car will not start from cold even with easy start if you do get it started then for the first 5mins there is grey smoke and the engine runs lumpy after this if you drive the car the performance is great it goes like a rocket. work carried out to date to sort the problem 1. new fuel lines fitted (the previous owner just used soft plastic tube which was letting in loads of air in 2. new fuel filter and housing 3. new air filter 4 1x new injector This was blowing the leak off pipe off and chucking out fuel 5. new battery There are no error code on the car there is no air in the fuel line any suggestions (other than a pint of petrol and a match) |

Hi I have had a look at the throttle body and found it is not sticking, there is a small area of light showing all around the butterfly and the disc moves freely I have removed the end cap to revel the gears and they are all fine no damage I lubricated these with silicon tried it again and still no start,
it will occasionally after about 5 attempts fire and then stop immediately by which time the battery is flat. Any other suggestions please (other than a pint of petrol and a match!!) regards |

You could have a lazy battery if it gives up after 5 or 6 attempts ...
