Volvo Bluetooth Car Kit in V50
Hi, I have just purchased the Volvo Bluetooth Car Kit which I intend to fit myself in a Volvo V50. Has anyone had expeirence of fitting this car kit and if so how easy is it and what problems should I look out for? If it's too difficult then I may pay for someone else to fit it but would prefer to do myself.
I currently have the Parrot 3200LS in my car but when I change cars in April I am going to put the Volvo kit in. I was not that impressed with the Parrot kit and struggled to hear people when travelling on the motorway hence I fancied a change. Any comments regards this would be appreciated! Thanks |

Hi
I previously had a Parrot CK3100LCD and I thought it was brilliant, certainly no problem hearing callers but I was told the location of the microphone is crucial to avoid road noise being transmitted out. Just changed cars and opted for the Volvo Bluetooth kit which is very frustrating to use, the voice recognition is hit and miss, also no screen to view phone's contact list. Not very happy so far. clarity of calls about the same as the Parrot. As far as fitting is concerned, like you I was always happy to fit these things myself, but the professional fitters do these all day long and there are so many plastic lugs and different fittings and cables which they have to hand, it's just easier to leave it to them, we have a local Road Radio and I'm always being drawn in for a new gadget and their fitting charges are very reasonable, free if you buy from them. Personally, I'd go for a professionally fitted parrot if it's not too late! |
