Default Aaaaaarggggh Nails

V40 less than 2 weeks old and a new tyre needed due to a nail right into it.

the compressor thingy is handy tho and didn't need to use the goop.

Only £105 squid for a new tyre

Earlier this week:

€374 per tyre and advised to do them in pairs as the car is AWD (XC90).

Most expensive screw ive seen in a while!

Didn't you know we builders get highly discounted tyres from the tyre dealers in return for liberally scattering our nails and screws around?

Seriously, what bad luck though!

Hmmm,

Had one of these annoying screws in my tyre a few weeks back. Luckily managed to get a repair as it would have been highly frustrating as the tyre was only a month or 2 old.

I had a pair of new tyres from ATS recently, & they come with a guarantee against getting punctured. Seems a bit too good to be true, because it's not the manufacturer's or fitter's fault if a tyre gets a nail through - but as far as I understand it, that's what the guarantee covers...!

I have heard of the ATS insurance whereby you get free puncture repairs for life of the tyre and if it's not repairable you only pay for what you've used tread wise.
Cost varies with what you have, bf goodritch mud terrain were £12 each at time of purchase.
