Dunno with those part numbers, I have two normal ones in the cupboard and the part number on those is 31369146 (same as on the Skandix site), it's 31369145 for the carbon one.

Is the difference Ph1/Ph2, or air con / not air con? Maybe? They do change the official spec & P/Ns occasionally, and I can imagine that Volvo would modify the construction of the filter more often than they modify the design of the housing. A filter is a filter, after all.

I have a Phase 2 with aircon. I thought the P1 didn't have one but you must have aircon if you've got a Lux? I dunno

I do have a/c, and those p/ns were definitely for the a/c filter. The devil's part number is the later one (I think?), and that supersedes the other number (according to VIDA/FRF). Seems odd that they'd change the p/n again though stranger things have happened. They probably re-used it for the new XC90 or something....

Still, it's more possibilities to add to an eBay search.

Wix doing carbon filters for £17.31 delivered. Might give it a pop next time but only just changed it.

There seem to be some number transposing gremlins sneaking around up there^

Carbon one that came out 30614031

Non carbon in..................31369416

Genuine Volvo, one from Simon
Both made in Czech Republic

Phase 1.5 with air

Oh yeah, washed my carbon one and reused it
Nothing wrong with it
Almost like a bought one
Washing powder and tap
Suffice it to say, it is still better than the carbonless one I have since put in

No just changed my mind, that is to say is it better to have more flow or less????????????
I think more.
The use of carbon, unless there is dwell time, is a gimmick

I've no idea how to test the efficacy of a cabin filter. If it comes out filthy it's done its job.

Has anyone used the more expensive Carbon/Multifilter and does it make much difference?

They sound simple but effective for sure! =)

I can't see it myself, they'd need to be pretty thick to make any real difference. Think of a gas mask cartridge at about 2-3cm thick, that's only designed for breathing speed. A blower fan on full would need something about a foot long.
