Thanks Thanatos, have opened up the dice firmware updater and when I click on it it's saying firmware not found. It has been saved in the downloads folder in my docs. Have also tried to do it from device manager and when I go to click on the gatos update file it won't let me. Do I need to put the file into a specific folder?

For some reason it doesn't want to do it. I have tried just opening the file downloaded from gatos link and it looks like its doing something but then when I check nothing has changed... Maybe this unit really is knackered

As said you should have a file called 'dice_x_x_x.mot', on my computer the file is dice_5_6_2.mot because I have firmware version 5.6.2

You need to point the updater to the .mot file that you have either downloaded or you will find in the firmware for your current version of VIDA in the following location: C:\Program Files\DiCE\Tools

I've followed your advice Sonyvaio and it appears that I'm running version 5.5.0. Not sure what the download gato posted but it has had no effect when I check the unit. So should I find a copy of the 5.6.2mot file to replace the 5.5.0mot file and run the dice setup again. Sorry if I'm doing heads in here, I really do appreciate your help as this stuff is all new for me.

Sorry, but post count is too low. Need at least 30 to pm other lads. I guess you could use any site, including www.2shared.com or send it directly to neilpryde/gmail email.

Hi all,

I am facing the same issue as Mudman. This week I received my clone dice (all leds blue) and everything works as mudman described. Actually it does not work.. :\

The upgrade tool does not recognize the dice so I can not start the upgrade. The dice config tool which is able to communicate with the dice does not allow the upgrade saying "firmware not found" despite the firmware file is in the directory. (.mot file)

Did anyone have some progress with a dice like this?
