Default What is this and where does it go?

I had this pictured drop out my V40 2004 driver's side dash onto my feet when driving.

Any ideas what it is and where it goes or what it attaches too?

Thanks

I have no experience of 40s but that looks very similar the locating clip for the bit of trim immediately above the pedals on an S60/V70?

Cheers GMad. That makes sense because it fell onto my feet... so does the round end push into the bulk head and the clip end fix onto the bottom trim over the pedals perhaps?

Eep that's part of the hyperdrive, I'd pop over to Cloud city and get Lando's people fix it back ASAP if you want to outrun star destroyers

Hmmmmm. Creative guess, but not exactly right

That plastic bit is what holds the noise insulating cover in the drivers footwell. The front of the insulating cover is clipped on the plastic trim below the steering column and this part you are asking about holds the rear of the cover

Yeah, I found out today... the insulating cover dropped over my clutch pedal and I had to kick it up to engage gear. So, I'll fit the star fighter part tomorrow. May the Force be with you.
