Built-in Satnav Convert???
Is it possible to use the built-in sat nav as a viewer for a reversing camera, and also keep it as a sat nav. I.e connect it to a camera and still use it as a Satnav when required.
On a description of a Volvo V70 on eBay it says the sat nav can be converted to a camera viewer. |

I looked in to this a while ago.
If you have the 'old' version (pre-2012MY I believe) then you can use the sort of thing that A lex linked to. However, if you have Sensus, these systems don't work. With Sensus, as I understand it you have 2 options for putting a camera in:
You should note though, that the only cars that come with the aux connector are those with the factory-fit Rear Seat entertainment (RSE) system. I have RSE, but decided that it was still too much effort, so haven't bothered. If Volvotech get to the point where they can do Sensus cars, then I'll look in to it again. |
