Just had a quick look at those fitting instructions. Someone clearly didn't think out the provision of a simple 12 volt supply, having to dismantle large sections of the dash just to plug in a power adaptor?

At least you have a supply there now if you want to use sat nav or phone cradle. If the DC-DC converter still works you've also got a 5 volt supply.
