Angry 2010 XC70 P3 dashboard help

hello

i am trying to get some information/guidance on how to remove the dashboard on a P3 /2010 Volvo XC70.

I have the haynes manual, but it does not cover this.

My dashboard has been making a really irritating rattle since purchase, by the passenger windscreen area/possibly glovebox

Never even contemplated doing this but......will there be any disturbance of the airbags in the dash when you try to remove the dash? Never dealt with airbag removal so cannot comment.

I'd be more inclined to try and locate the exact area that is causing the annoyance and wedge some cardboard or stiff foam in to see if that will reduce the noise/rattle. Once you have located and reduced or eliminated the noise with that temporary fix you can then look for any loose fasteners in immediate vicinity that are loose and are the root cause.

If you do decide to disturb the whole dash you may actually end up with more rattles than you started with when you get it back in.

Smaller steps could provide greater gains here.

Good luck with the search.

thanks , unfortunately i have tried the wedging technique , and silicone spray but the issue remains

someone mentioned loosening the main bolts that hold it down, then applying wedges, does anyone know where they might be located ?
